We are sorry to inform you that we have been forced to cancel this year’s edition of Slovenia’s only freeride ski and snowboard competition, the Kanin Freeride Battle by Nissan 2012. The event scheduled for March 22nd to 25th (originally from March 1st to 4th) was planned as a two star Freeride World Qualifier event.

Due to a record low precipitation in Western Slovenia for the past seven months Kanin mountain received very little snow this winter, hardly enough to open a couple of ski slopes and not remotely enough to run a freeride event on rocky off-piste slopes.
